Severe Back Pain?

Hello.^_^
I haven’t updated my blog yesterday because I was so busy. Slept at 1:30 AM, until now I feel like I haven’t slept at all! Anyway, no time to rest now. I’ll just get my revenge on the bed later and sleep.LOL
My blog title was taken from the TV ad in my earlier years, I think it was Salonpas(Hisamitsu).^_^
In today’s computer-based business world, workers spend 40 hours or more a week facing the computer monitors including me. One of the common problem we encounter is the back pain. It may lead to poor posture. Sometimes we are unaware that we are not in the good posture while at work so there’s a tendency that we look like grandparents.^_^ Then if we notice it we will fix our posture but then again as we continue to work we forget (again and again)..
I got this back pain for quite a long time, sometimes it goes away, sometimes it misses me and it will return. Hmmm.. Hope this not similar to the Shutter film.LOL
Here are 5 helpful tips: (Source and Read More:NaturalHealthWeb.com)
1.) Watch your posture, especially at work. Over time, office workers with muscle imbalances from a continually slumped posture may develop rounded shoulders and a forward neck posture, leading to chronic back and neck pain.
2.) Get regular exercise that uses all of your major muscle groups. Even with the best posture at work, our bodies simply were not designed to be sitting in front of a computer all day. Muscles kept at bent positions for long periods can become contracted and may become difficult to fully extend when doing other tasks.
3.) Try to take regular stretch breaks at your desk. Set a timer to remind you to take a break every 30 minutes, or purchase software with a window that pops up with simple stretches you can do at your desk.
4.) Try yoga for back pain prevention and pain relief.(I don’t even know how to do this!-_-) Yoga is often helpful for back pain sufferers, as performing a variety of different types of postures generally help to stretch and strengthen all of the body’s major muscles groups. Yoga can help prevent back pain by keeping muscles balanced, moving freely, and by lengthening and “decompressing” restricted areas of tightness.
5.) Eat a healthy diet of whole foods, making sure to consume a variety of foods high in magnesium. Among hundreds of other functions, magnesium is the mineral the body needs to release muscle contractions. Magnesium is also important for getting a good night sleep(another one of my problems-_-), which is also important for back pain sufferers. Studies show that people with inadequate intakes of magnesium often develop sleeplessness and, even after falling asleep initially, may wake frequently during the night.
Hmm.. I guess I need magnesium. Lots of it!^_^ I can’t sleep early and if I’m in bed I keep on turning around I can’t sleep well. Maybe I can post about this and share tips on later on.
Anyway, read more about the back pain tips on the page source since I didn’t copy everything. (I don’t want many copy paste on my blog.^_^)
Hope it helps my self and especially you guys!

back pains….i have that but it’s a lower back pain, a sign that I might have a kidney disease. i already visited a doctor to have it checked, did my kidney ultrasound and urinalysis, and my kidneys are fine, i just need to have my blood tested to see what really is happening, and one thing i’ve learned? MAHAL MAGKASAKIT!!! goodness! it really cost me a lot!
now i’m very much particular of what i am suppose to take in just to avoid any more complications.
about dieting, i don’t believe it would work, coz when the diet is over? you will crave for more, you are just depriving yourself with the food that you like, but i do believe in DISCIPLINE, discipline ourselves when it comes to eating you don’t need to go on a diet and don’t eat this or that.
and regular exercise…jeez, i miss jogging in Victoria Plaza early in the morning…have no one to accompany me ‘nymore. but i think i’ll go back doing it, maybe this saturday…

I haven’t do any primary move against my back pain like seeing a doctor. I just ignore it or put an ointment. But I hope this is not worst and just an ordinary back pain.
Exercise… The last time I really sweat hard was at Tudaya Falls. I want to exercise but I’m kinda lazy doing it alone.

prevention is better than cure Himura…
reluctant to exercise alone? exercise is great, i tell you, though i only jog and do stretching at the Victoria car park and when i jog with some friends, we jog from my place to CUACO (or Quako) it’s a familiar beach, i think you know that place, then we swim…and at the end of it you feel great, your muscles are all worked up and ready to go!
if you want we could jog together you can bring your friends too, i really don’t like going at gyms, i feel uncomfortable, parang napapaligiran ako ng mga bading LOL (no offense to those who go to the gym)…anyhoo, i agree jogging alone too is boring, i don’t have any competition (my motivation LOL)
oh i forgot, i need a new place to jog, we’ll be transferring at a new house at Samantha Homes that’s at Matina Pangi, this Sunday…i’ll figure out something

Wow.. Good for you. I never tried jogging. Although our home(Gulf View) is a good place to jog and there’s a beach.
I never go out of the house and roam around the subdivision, unlike when I was younger.^^

Hi, all good advice and if you use a computer for long periods, taking regular short breaks is really important, not just for your back but also for your concentration. it’s also important to sit well.
i’ve spent the last few years developing personal posture coaching software after developing back pain at work. it’s no miracle cure (i don’t believe there’s any such thing), just a sensible, intelligent approach to help you look after your back and feel better. there’s a free trial on my website if anyone wants to give it a go.
Thanks
Phil

After years of chronic illness, pain and fatigue, yoga has really been my personal path to healing. In addition to the chronic fatigue and constant pain, I had sciatica, SI problems, herniated discs – you name it. I had no idea what my first yoga class would lead to! It took full on dedication to the process and 10 years to grow a decent immune system. At 48, I feel healthier and more energized than I did at 38, 28 or 18 years old.
I have studied yoga for over 20 years, teaching and becoming a yoga therapist along the way. I was compelled to make this healing process available to the public, and the result is The Essential Low Back Program. I have been working on this project for the last 8 years with The National Institute of Health who funded a study looking at yoga therapy for the treatment of lower back pain. We collaborated with the Group Health Center for Health Studies, and the results were so exciting that the Annals of Internal Medicine picked it up. It is a simple and affordable at home practice, and I am very excited to make it available to everyone. (Please visit http://www.yogabackcare.com to learn more.)
