WordCamp Philippines 2008 in Davao

WordCamp Philippines 2008 is the first event being held in Southeast Asia!
What is WordCamp and why should you be interested in it?
It is an inaugural event which WordPress users and developers gather and learn more about the most popular Content Management System(CMS). It can’t be denied that WordPress is one of the most common use CMS because of its simplicity, flexibility, customizable and open source. With WordPress, just a very basic HTML is all you need and you can now deploy one. This event is not just for WordPress enthusiasts but also for those who want to learn why it is being used by many. WordCamp also aims to encourage more people to use WordPress not just for blogging but also as a full-featured CMS for web sites.
Wordcamp Philippines will be held on September 6, 2008 at the Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez Theater, College of Saint Benilde in Manila. Sadly, we are far from Manila but Dabawenyos do not be despair because we are lucky to have a Mini-WordCamp here in Davao this coming September 4, 2008! So many cities in the Philippines and our city was selected to be a part of this event, we are so lucky!
As a WordPress user for quite some time, it would be a perfect opportunity for me to enhance and learn more about it. I am knowledgeable about WordPress but as a person we must continue to learn and I’m sure that I still have a lot to learn. But why on this event? Why not just research? The internet almost have everything but the interaction between fellow enthusiasts would be much easier way to learn. Share ideas, listen and absorb what you have learn then you’ll realize that it is all worth it. And most of all, the mini-event is just in my own city. We are so fortunate.

Yes, Its always the best to continue learning even you know it already, and also i am very much interesting this kind of event, because aside from learning you can also benefits friend and so on, I am go in to this event see you there.

Yes Manila is way too far but we are still lucky we could experience wordcamp here in Davao. Not as big as in Manila but I’m sure there are many WPress users existing here in our City so it could still be a large event.

Hiya, i have seen your site when searching a few weeks ago and i really love the design! I just bought a new 3 character domain (cost me a packet) for a niche review blog, and i was wondering if your design is a free or paid one? I’m new to Wordpress and about to set it up, and i would really like to get something with a similar look to yours. Any ideas where i could download or buy something similar? Thanks for your help!
