Theater: For The First Time -_-

Ok this was the second time I said I wont write about film related post here since I already started my separate film blog at MovieBuzzReview.Site40.Net but I can’t post this review there. I don’t know why I can’t… Guess why.^_^
By the way we viewed this last Friday night at SM Cinema. I tried to convinced her that there isn’t a good film being shown for the week but it was too early to went home.
I’ll just make this short since I let my GF write a review about this film. For Mary Dane’s own opinion about the film(we have the same thoughts for this one but I added more negatives) visit her blog.
Here’s my quick thoughts:
PROS:
-Candy Pangilinan and her pen pal entertained me
-Greece is a beautiful place
-Philip Salvador was scary and portrait a believable role
CONS:
-The title was NOT related to the story. The title was based on KC and Richard’s first team up.
-Let’s be frank, forget the celebrities and location, the acting wasn’t that good especially KC.
-When KC cries, her face won’t be focus by the camera that much.
-Her acting is NOT convincing enough.
-The plot was mediocre.
-This film should be titled ‘The Field trip to Greece’. I believe Greece can be replaced with just a local place here in the Philippines as long as they focus on the acting and NOT just bragging about the location they shot.
-Replace KC with Angel. She’s a good actress.
-Is Philippine cinema always produce these type of films? Drama and Comedy then say that blockbuster of the year every month. Then we can have an ‘extra’ effort every December during the Metro Manila Film Fest.

Overall, I never close my doors for Philippine movies. I still can pick out few good films with a very good acting but with this film, forget it. I knew they claimed that this breaks previous Philippine cinema premiere night records but that won’t change my own review. I think this was just popular because of setting aside the network wars between GMA and ABS-CBN and allowed the ‘talent’ crossover for awhile.
Wait it on T.V. or original DVD a month or two after.^_^

The hell, no wait, THE HELL! I’d never thought YOU would waste your money in order to watch this crap, seriously dude, the only good thing about this movie is the media hype surrounding KC and Richard, beside how come they always say “box office hit” when they clearly don’t release any monetary figure, and oh, did I say this movie was crap!?

I have to agree with you Henry. I was very disappointed with the movie. I have high expectations for the movie but it turned out to be one of those corny filipino films.
The acting was really bad and the story for me was nonsense.
Sorry for KC and Richard fans. I just don’t like the movie. That’s all

Good thing I wasn’t the only one saying it wasn’t good. C’mon people wake up! Don’t listen to the comments of those who have been interviewed, of course they were just blinded by the celebrities and never considered the acting. Sad fact…

Rated “B” by the Cinema Evaluation Board, I dunno if that’s a good rating but yes, this movie really gives me the chills.
Some Star Cinema films that also had a B Rating:
* My Big Love (i loved this!)
* When Love Begins (collaboration with Viva - hmm…i think Aga’s too old for, uhm..what’s the name of the girl again?)

Waaaa.. Well in fairness I got nothing against Richard with his acting except his cheesy dialogs that we’ve heard all over again in other films. But with KC, OMG…

I’ve never even seen the film, hence I would never watch it, judging by how we bury this film, chances are this really sucked! Hope rottentomatoes.com will review this movie. In the immortal words “Nya Kung Sumbagon tka kng mag ingon ka na panget ang salida skong anak! ma unsa mn ka?” WFTLOLZ!

I never expect such negative reactions, anyway I guess the movie was promoted because both KC and Richard parents were super duper famous… and people expected so much from them.

@Ice Save your money…-_- Believe me it’s not worth it. Don’t listen to the ‘hype’ of those being interviewed. They were just afraid to admit the acting sucks since they were blinded by celebrities involved. I have to admit I enjoyed My Big Love and One More Chance but this one, sigh….
